To all UiTM Libraries User

This weekend we launched the new 360 Search Administration Console within the Serials Solutions Client Center.

You need to be aware of issues, detailed below, regarding Custom Search boxes, Subject Search identifiers used for subject searches, and account permissions for the 360 Search Administration Console.

  • If your library is using Custom Search boxes and/or Subject Specific links, outside of the main 360 Search interface, the searches performed will not provide results at this time.
We are working to resolve this issue with extreme urgency and will update you when we have completed our work. Please also note that any customizations made to the subject categories since Friday, December 18 (10:00 pm PST) may be lost, and we encourage you not to make any other changes of this type until we have resolved this issue.

  • By default, all accounts were not automatically set up with View/Edit permissions to the 360 Search Administration Console. We are working to set up all primary account holders with the View/Edit permissions. Please note that any account holder with the ability to modify account permissions, within the Serials Solutions Client Center, can activate View/Edit permissions for 360 Search customizations. Instructions for making these changes can be accessed here.

You can also request our assistance in turning on permissions by contacting us through the Support Center's Ask a Question tool.

In addition, if you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to review our training tutorials and informational overviews that we have created to better inform you of the enhancements made to 360 Search. You can also register for live online training sessions and register for our special 2010 ALA Midwinter event, “Serials Solutions presents 360 Search,” on January 17, at 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.

If you have any further questions, please contact us using the Support Center's Ask a Question tool.

Regards,

Rob
