Emerald news :Celebrating Emerald's 8th Annual High Usage Awards
Bingley, United Kingdom, 11 April 2019 – The top 20 global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of Emerald’s eJournal content throughout 2018 have been announced as part of the 8th annual High Usage Awards; celebrating the relationship between Emerald and the winning institutions, whilst also highlighting the global reach and impact of our research.
This year, the institutions in the top three positions remain unchanged with Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia in the top spot with 850,152 downloads, followed by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank Data Centre and Universitas Trisakti with 552,778 and 306,866 downloads, respectively.
Laura Ingle, Head of Product and Institutional Marketing at Emerald said “The High Usage Awards provide us with the opportunity to reward the loyalty of our customers, highlighting the value of our relationships with institutions and academics from around the world.
“These awards allow us to celebrate the global reach and high quality of our research and the work undertaken by all of our authors, editors and peer reviewers.”
This year we’ve seen three new entries to the leader board, all of which are from the UK. Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Sheffield and the University of Birmingham, join the remaining winning universities from Malaysia, Egypt, Indonesia, Australia, United States of America, and Pakistan.
